25. Drumboe Wood, Stranorlar

View along the River Finn

I was born in Stranorlar, one of the Twin Towns in east Donegal. I also lived there for over thirty years while teaching in a local secondary school. During this time I was lucky to have the beautiful track walks of the nearby Drumboe Wood to enjoy with my family and will always love this walk as one of peace and relaxation, offering woodland trails and river views. It was, and still is, a tranquil haven and well worth a visit whether you are a local or just visiting the area.

For more details on this lovely walk visit the Coillte Drumboe website.
